It all started as a "nice Italian restaurant next door" in Nuremberg in 1999 - since then, L'Osteria has developed into a well-known restaurant brand with almost 170 locations in Europe. The secret of L'Osteria's success lies in its authentic Italian cuisine, which includes its famous oversized pizzas. The chain's newest restaurant opened in Frankfurt's MyZeil shopping center at the end of November.
The 700 m² space in the shopping center was last used as a restaurant by the Sander Group. The Düsseldorf-based general contractor Schwitzke Project, which had already worked for L'Osteria in Stuttgart and Lyon in the past, was entrusted with the complete fit-out.
The space was redesigned to meet the requirements within 12 weeks: The ventilation, air conditioning system and three cold stores were taken over from the previous tenant, while the structure of the ancillary rooms, such as staff rooms, offices and storage, was changed to suit L'Osteria. In line with the design concept of L'Osteria, Dippold Innenarchitektur GmbH used high-quality materials for the interior design of the restaurant space, such as solid oak parquet in a herringbone pattern with a surrounding frieze.
In order to realize the client's wish to open at the end of November instead of mid-December as originally planned, Schwitzke Project shortened the construction time by two weeks and finalized its last work steps parallel to the assembly of the furniture.
"We are delighted that we were able to enable L'Osteria to shorten the construction time and, unusually, to complete the final work steps at the same time as the restaurant was being fitted out. This was mainly possible thanks to the trust in our expertise, the solution-oriented work of the entire team and the respectful interaction with each other - in keeping with the typical L'Osteria "LA FAMIGLIA" spirit," says Wolfgang Sigg, Managing Director of Schwitzke Project.
